Immediately after applying the product, my deck looked very good. However, the product began to crack and peel within a few months.

We had applied the product to a dry deck -- we had almost a week of warm sunny days before applying it. But the Deck Over finish began cracking during the winter and began cracking, bubbling and peeling off almost every board of the deck by the spring and early summer.

It lasted only about 7-8 months. The biggest problem is that the product does not peel off everywhere, so, in order to refinish the deck, we will have to sand down the whole deck -- which will probably take a ton of work and a LOAD of sandpaper because the gummy texture of remaining Deck Over crud.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $40.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Behr Cons: Deck over paint, Extremely poor quality of product.

yup. I've been warning people away from the stuff for going on 7 years now. Maybe people will start listening to people with 30+ years selling paint instead of the massive add campaigns and Consumer Reports magazine report that Behr pays for.
